The gifts that keep on giving: Our favourite subscription box gifts

Marina Tatas from Finder shares her favourite subscription box gifts just in time for Christmas.

Subscription boxes are a great way to keep delighting your loved ones long after the festive season ends.

Subscription box gifts are certainly not a new concept, but the idea has gained popularity in recent times – and we’re expecting an even bigger rise this year. Not only can they be sent and received virtually (without human contact), subscription boxes also have the ability to continue to bring happiness, long after Christmas Day ends.

We’ve rounded up our absolute favourite subscription services to give as a gift this Christmas

Name: Bellabox

How often it’s shipped: Monthly

Looking for the perfect gift for your beauty-obsessed bestie? Bellabox is your go-to. Each box is packed with five different beauty samples covering a whole range of categories.

In terms of gifting, all you need to do is choose between the three and six-month options. Then, a profile sheet is sent to the recipient so that the company can get to know their beauty needs. Once that’s done, you can sit back and relax as your loved one is spoilt with new gifts every month.

Price: $58.95 for the three-month plan, $109.95 for the six-month plan

Name: T2 Tea Subscription

How often it’s shipped: Every three months

If you know someone who is obsessed with drinking tea, this is the perfect gift idea. To get started, you need to sign up and become a Tea Society member. Then, every three months, you will receive four loose leaf teas – a classic brew, a sneak peek of a new flavour, a wellness pick and something chosen by the in-house tea expert.

Alongside this, you’ll also get a booklet explaining the origin of the teas, how to brew them, recipe ideas and some fun facts.

Keep in mind that you can’t choose the flavours, so this probably isn’t ideal for those with picky taste buds.

Price: $35 per box (four a year)

Name: Nourished Life Beauty Box

How often it’s shipped: Monthly

This beauty box is for those who love to immerse themselves in the world of natural beauty. This box from Nourished Life provides you with a range of travel-sized beauty essentials, with the products adding up to a value of $30.

The contents of each box varies each month, which means you get to try something new each time. Staying true to the Nourished Life brand, all the products are natural, non-toxic,

cruelty-free and sometimes vegan.

Price: $25 per month, $75 for a three-month subscription, $270 for a yearly subscription

Name: ‘tis the box

How often it’s shipped: Once every season, i.e. four times a year ‘tis the box delivers subscription boxes dedicated to each season, so you’ll get a new themed version four times a year.

Each season, you choose two products from a provided list, plus you’ll receive an additional five products that have already been catered for you.

All up, you get seven must-have premium products, with a total value of over $275. The brand provides you with a little bit of everything – health, beauty and lifestyle.

Price: $89.95 for a one-off box, $309.95 for an annual subscription

Name: Easy Come Easy Grow

How often it’s shipped: Monthly

If someone in your life has a bit of a green thumb, Easy Come Easy Grow is a great pick. Each month, you’ll receive three different herb or vegetable seeds to grow at home, along with your very own grow cards to help you get started. The seeds are sourced within Australia, so you know that you’re supporting home-grown businesses. Are you a gardening newbie? The grow cards you receive in each pack are super

informative with growing tips and serving suggestions.

Price: $11 a month, $32 for three months, $55 for six months, $110 for a year.

So there you have it. Those are our top five subscription box picks for the gifts that keep on giving.
