Getting your glow back after a long Winter

It's been a long Winter, but in Oz, the days are getting longer and the Sun is starting to shine.

Winter is on it's way out but it can leave behind dehydrated skin and dry damaged tresses with faded colour in it's wake.

Here's a few quick tips on getting your glow back for those warmer months.

Grab Some Coconut Oil

Pure virgin coconut oil is hard to beat. It can do everything from moisturising your face and body, conditioning your hair and whitening your teeth. You can also mix it with sugar to create a natural body polish that will get your skin glowing. Pop some on your face each night and let it sink in slowly to wake up with smooth, refreshed skin.

Palmers also have amazing coconut formula sheet face masks that works wonders - thank us later!

Treat your hair

You don't have to spend a fortune treating your hair to some TLC. There are so many home hair dye kits and treatment masks available at affordable price points!

Deal With Skin Woes

Your skin can give away your age faster than anything else, so make sure to book in some post-Winter treatments. UV rays can still effect the skin in Winter so look into a cosmelan treatment to reduce any pigmentation. If fine lines are cropping up faster than you’d like, switch to a skincare regime using hyaluronic acid to plump and firm. If you hail from Victoria, check out Clinica Lase, who will have a treatment available for any skin issues you may have!

Another thing that is super simple and costs nothing is to up your water intake. Many of us are good with this during the summer heat but tail off when it gets cooler - if that is use try switching to herbal teas or hot lemon with honey.

Switch To Silk

Dry, brittle hair can be helped by the simple trick of swapping your regular pillowcase for a silk one. The slip in the fabric causes less damage and breakage to the hair caused by movements you make during the night. For similar reasons, it can also help to prevent wrinkles, making it an ideal beauty aid.

Just in case you needed more convincing, this is a beauty hack employed by none other than Kim Kardashian.

CASE. IN. POINT.

Wake Up Your Makeup

Switching up the colors, textures and tone you choose to use can really make a difference. Gold, bronze and copper tones look amazing this time of year and will bring a pretty light to your eyes, while dramatic plums and berries work for lips to give them a fresh look. And try adding a few drops of liquid facial highlighter to your foundation to bring the glow. It's also a good time of year to book in for a quick eyebrow reshape. Well groomed arches can really frame your features and act like a mini-facelift, really refreshing your whole look.
